Knighter comes back to win in Portugal !!
Having pulled out of day 1 in Spain last week due to aggrivating an ongoing injury to his hip, Knighter has returned to competition despite knowing he will have to have his hip operated on sometime soon. After receiving pain killing injections prior to riding, David was fastest E3 rider on Friday night and carried on that form to win the E3 class on Day One, finishing 3rd on scratch.
An amazing achievement considering last weeks double DNF.
David will now go into the second day with added confidence, another hard day on the bike may not be so easy though. Every mile causing more pain and fatigue to the rider.
